Privacy Policy

Setiora ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Setiora mobile application and the www.setiora.com website (together, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

We built Setiora with a clear principle: your pet's data belongs to you. We do not sell your data to advertisers, data brokers, or any third party. We collect only what is necessary to provide the Service.

Account information — When you create a Setiora account we collect your email address and the display name you choose.

Pet data — All information you enter about your pets, including:

• Pet profiles (name, species, breed, date of birth, gender, weight, photos)
• Health records (vaccinations, medications, lab results, allergies, surgeries, vet notes)
• Reminders and their completion history
• Weight and height records
• Moments (photos, notes, milestones)
• Documents and file attachments

Device information — Device type, operating system version, Setiora app version, and anonymous device identifiers used for push notifications and crash reporting.

Usage analytics — Aggregated, anonymised feature usage patterns and crash reports to help us improve the app. These are never linked to your personal identity.

We use the information we collect solely to operate and improve the Service:

• Providing offline storage and cloud sync for your pet data
• Delivering push notifications for reminders (via Firebase Cloud Messaging)
• Managing your account and subscription
• Responding to support requests
• Improving Setiora using aggregated, anonymised analytics

We will never use your data for advertising. We will never sell your data to any third party.

We apply the following security measures to protect your data:

• All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.3
• All data at rest is encrypted using AES-256
• EXIF GPS metadata is stripped from photos before they are uploaded to the cloud
• Authentication tokens are stored in the operating system's secure keystore — never in plain storage
• Data is backed up to the cloud within 24 hours of creation on-device

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your Setiora account:

• All personal data (pet profiles, health records, photos, documents, reminders, moments) is permanently purged within 30 days
• Aggregated, non-identifiable analytics data may be retained
• Deletion is permanent and irreversible — we cannot recover deleted data

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Portability — Export all your pet data (Settings → Account → Export Data)
• Correction — Edit your data directly within the app at any time
• Deletion — Permanently delete your account and all data (Settings → Account → Delete Account, or via www.setiora.com/delete-account)
• Objection — Object to any processing beyond what is necessary to provide the Service

Setiora uses a limited number of third-party services to operate:

• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — used to deliver push notification reminders to your device. Your device token is shared with FCM for this purpose only.
• Cloud storage provider — used to store encrypted pet data for cloud sync. Data is stored encrypted at rest.

We do not use advertising networks, tracking pixels, or social media SDKs in the Setiora app.

Setiora is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete the account promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via the app or email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the current version.

Continued use of Setiora after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
